The nearest town is Iritty which is 20 km away from the sanctuary where the wildlife Warden’s office is situated.
Nearest Railway Station
The nearest railhead is Thalassery, at a distance of 70kms and the nearest airport is Kozhikode, which is 150 kms away.
The area is accessible by road from Thalassery, Kannur, Wayanad and Virajpet.
The Assistant Wild life warden,s office is functioning at Valayamchal on the south west corner of the sanctuary . As the bitumen work of road from Odanthodu to Valayamchal was completed visitors can come by any type of vehicle upto the entrance of the sanctuary.
